What are the printing methods of Printable Shrink Film?

Gravure printing 

The printing plate has high precision, good printing quality, thick ink layer, strong three-dimensional sense, and rich graphic layers. The printing plate has high printing durability, which is suitable for long-run live printing and can ensure the quality stability during large-scale printing. However, the plate making is complicated, the cycle is long, the cost is high, and the use of solvent-based inks has certain environmental pollution problems. It is often used for printable shrink film products with high printing quality requirements and large printing quantities, such as shrink film packaging for beverages, cosmetics, etc. 

Flexographic printing

The printing speed is fast and the efficiency is high. It uses water-based inks or UV inks, which is more environmentally friendly. The printing pressure is small, the adaptability to film materials is strong, and the stretching deformation of the material can be reduced. However, the printing precision is slightly lower than that of gravure printing, and the printing effect of the highlight part may not be as good as that of gravure. It is suitable for shrink film printing of various materials, especially in the packaging fields of food, daily necessities, etc., and can meet the packaging needs of products with high environmental protection requirements. 

Offset printing

The printing precision is high, the color reproduction is good, and fine patterns and texts can be printed. The printing speed is fast and the production efficiency is high. However, it has certain requirements for the surface flatness and ink absorption of the printed material, and the effect of printing the solid part may not be as good as gravure printing. It is suitable for shrink films with high requirements for printing accuracy and color and good surface flatness, such as shrink film packaging for high-end cosmetics, electronic products, etc. 

Digital printing

No plate making is required, and fast on-demand printing can be achieved, which shortens the printing cycle and reduces costs. It can achieve personalized printing to meet the special needs of different customers. However, the printing speed is relatively slow, and the printing cost may be higher when the batch is large. It is suitable for small batches, personalized printable shrink film products, such as customized gifts, limited edition product packaging, etc.

Screen printing

The ink layer is thick and has strong covering power, and can print patterns with strong three-dimensional sense and texture. It has strong adaptability to the substrate and can be printed on shrink films of various shapes and materials. However, the printing speed is slow, the production efficiency is low, and it is not suitable for large-scale fast printing. It is often used for shrink film printing that requires special effects or has requirements for the thickness of the ink layer, such as some gift packaging and handicraft packaging with special decorative effects.
